National Sales Manager

We’re on the hunt for a National Sales Manager who knows how to get things done and drive growth across retail, wholesale, and foodservice nationwide. This role is all about building relationships, closing deals, and making sure our products land in the right hands—from top distributors to key national and regional accounts.

If you’ve got CPG sales chops, know your way around distributors and national retail accounts, and can handle foodservice like a pro, we want to hear from you. Bonus points if you love a good trade show and can negotiate like a boss.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Retailer & Distributor Management

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with our outsourced sales team, and distributor partners (e.g., UNFI, KeHE), ensuring strong partnerships, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance.

  • Lead category review submissions and craft compelling retailer pitches to secure new placements.

  • Negotiate and manage trade spend, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.

  • Own trade show strategy and execution, from selecting key events to coordinating logistics


Foodservice Growth & Management

  • Identify and develop new foodservice partnerships to drive sales and brand presence.

  • Strengthen relationships with current foodservice accounts to support sustained growth.

  • Oversee purchase orders from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution and timely fulfillment.


Wholesale Expansion

  • Drive growth through Faire and direct B2B wholesale relationships.

  • Implement strategies to enhance wholesale operations, streamlining processes for customer acquisition and support.


Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Track and analyze key sales KPIs (velocity, new door growth, distributor performance) to inform strategy.

  • Collaborate with operations to forecast demand, ensuring alignment with retailer launches and promotions

  • Own essential sales admin tasks, including distributor deductions, new item paperwork, promotional submissions, and CRM database updates.


Shopper Marketing & Retail Initiatives

  • Oversee retail-driven marketing efforts, including Instacart promotions, Amazon growth strategies, and other retailer initiatives.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 2+ years experience in sales functions: business development, key account management, trade marketing, category management and sales strategy 

  • Previous experience as part of a CPG brand is required 

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external parties. 

  • Has exceptional project management skills, excellent follow-up skills, grit and positive energy; is self-directed, independent, detail-oriented,

  • Work from our Brooklyn office. (not a remote position). 

  • Salaried, Full-Time position

  • Compensation: $66,000–$72,000 dependent on experience.
