NEW YORK SHUK TEA SPICE BLEND {+ our recipe for Moroccan spiced tea}
Traditional Moroccan tea is made with Chinese green tea ‘gunpowder’ and tends to very very sweet. We have adopted our own version, which we found is the most soothing way to end a big meal. We use a blend of spices and both fresh & dry herbs in our recipe, which makes it completely caffeine free. We season the tea with just enough sweetness to bring the flavors together.
At the heart of creating our tea blend lays Ron’s grandmother home remedy to sooth digestion after a meal- dry sage. Delighted to be passing her old-time remedy to you in the form of our own unique spiced Moroccan tea recipe.
Our tea set won’t be complete without a side of something sweet to enjoy while sipping your tea.
PISTACHIO HALVA
We bring you our favorite pistachio halva from Turkey. Halva is a dense, crumbly sweet confection made from tahini (sesame paste) and sugar, served all across the Middle East.
The halva should be kept in a airtight container at room temperature

TURKISH DELIGHT {with chopped pistachios}
Found in most Middle Eastern markets, Turkish delight known also as rahat lokum or just plain lokum is a traditional sweet confection made from starch and sugar. Customary flavored with rosewater and chopped nuts and consumed as a sweet treat and also in baking. Packaged in small cubes dusted with confectionery sugar.
