Hot Chocolate w/ Ras El Hanout

This is perhaps the easiest hot chocolate recipe you will find. You don’t need to go and buy any specific hot chocolate powder - just use any good chocolate you have on hand. And yes, I just gave you the perfect excuse to stock your pantry with good quality chocolate.

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups milk

1 teaspoon Ras El Hanout or Kafe Hawaij spice

1 tablespoon honey

50g dark chocolate (preferably 60% and up)

In a small pot warm the milk, spice and honey and bring to a boil.
add the dark chocolate and mix vigorously. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream, chocolate shaving and a sprinkle of the spice.
