Kinda like a cookie, kinda like a cake, some will say it resembles a blondie-
however you want to categorize it, this is a winner.

You can dress it up for a fancy occasion by scooping ice cream on it  and drizzling it with chocolate. Or you can dress it down by leaving it all natural after it comes out of the oven and enjoy it for your mid week coffee breaks.

Best eaten slightly warm; 5-10 minutes after you take it out from the oven when the chocolate inside is still gooey and melted for absolute pleasure.

Chocolate chip cookie cake

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons Kafe Hawaij or Ras El Hanout

200g soft butter (2 sticks minus 2 tablespoons)

1 cup light brown sugar

½ cup white sugar

2 large eggs

¾ cup chopped pistachios

¼ cup pecan halves

⅔ cup chopped dark chocolate (or chips)

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Using the paddle attachment on your mixer mix the butter and sugar/When mixture reaches a light and fluffy consistency add eggs- mix until well incorporated. Add dry ingredients followed by nuts and chocolate.

Pour the mixture in a 8 inch (20 cm)  buttered and floured round pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes. (if it gets early on in the baking that nice golden color- cover with foil )
